Congrats to Anthony Kim!

A nice round today gives young Mr Kim his 2nd win on the season...he becomes the first under 25 player to win two PGA Tour events in a season since a young man you might remember...Tiger Woods. The next step is for him to contend at a major, and with wins at two rather tough venues in Quail Hollow and Congressional, he could well be a factor at another tough layout coming up...Oakland Hills next month for the PGA.

Yes , great stuff from Anthony Kim. I'm watching it on delay now. It would be great to see him contend at the PGA. He has a very good demeanor and rapport with the gallery, slapping hands with them going from hole to hole. Things like that mean so much to the fans.

Correction, Stl. In 2004 Adam Scott, then 24, won The PLAYERS Championship and Booz Allen Classic before turning 25.

But, yes, a nice victory for the emerging star. It will be quite interesting watching his development.

And I gotta give this little shout-out for Southern California: Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, the game's #1 and #2, and the newly emerging Anthony Kim, all hail from this great sporting state.

Woops. I was going by the article I read soon after the round finished up on ESPN. I hope it has been amended.

Either way, it'd be nice to see this guy and a few other youngsters step up here the rest of the season.

And we shouldn't overlook that Sergio Garcia also did it...twice. In 2001, at the age of 21, and again in 2004, at the age of 24.

Nice opportunity here to talk about Jeff. After all, we don't usually get a chance to watch this guy in action.

I am unimpressed with Jeff Overton's demeanor and mental approach. This "kid" is actually 25 years old, but he still acts like a spoiled, impetuous and impatient teenager.

On the course, he seems to lose his focus quite often. The slightest thing sets him off. And, as the pressure gets amped, Jeff starts making very poor decisions, which often lead to difficult situations.

And I've never seen a pro with so many different swings. This kid is very inconsistent.

I hate to bash your buddy, Nikeguy07, but Jeff's just not going to win on TOUR until he gets himself together.

He's still very young and was used to killing people when he was at IU...It was easy for him....He has one of the worst work ethics on tour I promise u, but his natural ability is phenominal...he hits it a MILE and is money with his irons and a great putter...He'll win a tourney in the next year or 2....He got a 2nd last year.....But he could mature a bit for sure.....

Re: Congrats to Anthony Kim!

Greetings ...

Congrats to "A.K."

Now exempt on tour through 2011, exempt for all the majors thru 2009, and best of all, playing for Uncle Sam and Captain Zinger at the Ryder Cup.

How nice it is for this 23-year-old talent. He should be the one to escort the new UGA-VII onto the field when The University of Georgia's football season starts.

Thanx-A-Lot and Enjoy,
Frank-0-Sport

Yes droogy Jeff swing's all over the place just like the guy that beat him 9&8 in the 2004 U.S. Amateur, Ryan Moore. Ryan's swing is neccessitated so he can swing pain free. ( hand ). Both need to tighten up their swings if they're ever going to win.
Oh congrats to A. Kim, now there is a pretty swing!.
