Its definately the off season and I am bored of hanging bikinis and board shorts so I am watching the tourney and I just saw my boy Slater on TV. He said his best score at Turtle Bay was 68 which is pretty darn good for a surfer. Maybe Ill name a surf board after him,,,,,,,Oh they already did that..

Yeah, Kelly is an all around good athlete. I didn't know he was capable of a 68 at Turtle though. He must be playing more golf these days than surfing, but he did just win his 8th title I believe.

Yes he did and coming back for a ninth try. A really good guy. Surfers and golfers have a lot in common. For the most part they seem to be pretty down to earth human beings

the others didn't fare much better - save Kelly (Tiffany-Amber in HS! ) did a small role in The Ladies Man, but other than that, I haven't seen her much.

On a positive note, Slater (Mario Lopez), did dance his way to the the stars, and I have even seen Mr Belding in a small role or two

What's-his-name was on NYPD Blue its last couple of years. My kids used to watch it. Other than some of the eye candy I never saw the attraction. I imagine I watched some pretty awful stuff when I was a kid, though, too.

Yeah that surprised me to see Slater at a 3 handicap, pretty impressive. I saw them interviewing him and he had some pretty interesting stuff to say. He said that reading Ben Hogans book helped his balance and in turn made him a better surfer, along with some other pretty cool golf/surfing related stuff.

Long time 40 years maybe....Growing up in your neck of the wooods all I did was play vball and surf.

Yeah those were the days....the water's probably a tad bit chillier where you are this time of year. I'm not as hardcore as I used to be, so I tend to limit my winter surfing these days. Once it's not full suit temps anymore, I tend to be in the water more frequently.

Yes I am out of the water for awile ITs 43 degrees out there today. I do the surf report for the shop online every morinng so I keep track of it and its way too cold for me. I saw a couple of my friends suiting up and heading out there Tuesday afternoon. Way too cold!
