Is this a case of wishful thinking?

The lawsuit not withstanding, I think Guiliani's son has delusions of granduer if he thinks he has a shot at the tours. The best he has done in any college tourney is a tie for 36th. He only got to play in at least 2 tourneys per year so far.

haha, yes, wishful thinking I believe. Pretty comical if you ask me.

Andrew Giuliani, a 22-year-old who will be a senior this fall, contends he HAD dreams of becoming a professional golfer and was dismissed without cause from the golf team in February without a chance to defend himself
Luckily for ol' Andrew, his dad is a gazillionaire and you don't have to play college golf to be a professional golfer. Go play the mini tours and work your way up like everyone else big guy... your dad has the money to get you in the tournaments.

Re: Is this a case of wishful thinking?

It is so surprising in America that someone would sue over such a thing. You would think we had gotten downright litigious in this country.....

Yeah, in looking at their 2007-2008 scores, Giuliani only played in one tournament (if I'm reading it right) and his scores were around the same as all the other right around scratch golfers would shoot. I wish him the best, everyone has to follow their dreams but I do think it's wishful thinking. He's got a lot of work ahead of him.

Re: Is this a case of wishful thinking?

I'm gonna make the mistake (again) of reading into what was reported via the news, which obviously isn't factual much of the time. But I'm gonna guess that his privileged upbringing might have something to do with his attitude, which might have something to do with him not being on the team.

Then again, he could be a great kid and the coach could be a real richard cranium. Who knows....

.

How do you spell "entitlement"?

A-n-d-r-...

And if he's anything like his father, the Tour would be better off without him. Unless, of course, they have an annual Drag Pageant or something like that.

Re: Is this a case of wishful thinking?

The only thing I know about the kid is I remember him making faces at the cameras behind his dad while he was speaking at some press conference or something when he was about 10. The video made the rounds of the talk shows. I recall thinking, what a brat. Sounds like he hasn't changed much.

Re: Is this a case of wishful thinking?

So he wants back on the team, at the expense of possibly another player who is only able to attend Duke financially because of their golf scholarship....how selfish.

If he really wants to play college golf, he can transfer to a smaller or less glamorous golf program. If he's good enough for the Tour, it won't matter where he played his college golf at - look at some of the Alma Maters of current players.
