Golf on The Radio

does anybody listen to and want to critique The PGA Channel on XM Satellite Radio..???????? .I know the fact that it is as boring a s watching paint dry, but I quite like it!

soothing. there are tips sometime in the morning on a interview show that is not too bad , and the coverage of PGA is kind of neat , just like TV when it gets close, and lets you use your imagination.... HMNN....

Re: Golf on The Radio

I listened during the Nissan Open (attended as well) and they had one guy who was totally unlistenable. He was making a horrible attempt at comedy by saying, repeatedly: "Purdy for Birdie", "Birdie Purdy", etc. The main guy was confusing Appleby and Allenby. It was painful. Haven't listened since.

Re: Golf on The Radio

i agree the jokes are often stale....but the coverage is full and builds when a match is close..so if you are on long drive it is a change of pace from other type broadcasts and keeps one utd....

Re: Golf on The Radio

I listen to the tournaments when I am on the road or otherwise forced to be in the car when a tournament is being played. Nothing positive or negative to say about the coverage, just that it gives me an idea as to what is happening in the event.

Re: Golf on The Radio

I don't have satellite radio and doubt I'd find listening to golf all that interesting aside from checking in to see who's where on the leaderboard.

Re: Golf on The Radio

I don't know that I would listen to a tournament, but I would proably listen to a talk show about equipment, strategy, tips, the tour, just golf in general.
