Will be interesting to see how much trouble Stenson will have where Pettersson failed.

Today was better for the Swedes - Fasth with a great win against Goosen and Stenson with again a great finish to go thorugh to the "Sweet" 16.

Will be interesting matches tomorrow for both against Ogilvy and Baddeley. Should be possible for either - more Stenson though.

Cheers

Re: WGC Accenture Matchplay.

Well despite Phil just handing me 4 losses, I am still doing decent. I have 30 wins and 19 losses so far. Tiger will likely mess me up though and David Howell already did. I had Howell winning 3 matches, including against Tiger but he lost in the first round. Vijay just lost. That hands me 2 losses. So 30-21 now. I do still have Stenson, Ogilvy and Toms alive! Mickelson was my other Final 4 pick, so I've still got 3 out of 4 going. I have Ogilvy winning it all.

Well my picks went in the toilet with todays matches. CH3PO managed to beat Garcia, so I'm still happy.

LOL yeah. I have CH3 losing in the 3rd round to Mickelson, which is an automatic loss of course.

More big names out, like DiMarco and Furyk and Goosen.

Vijay also bites the dust. 2 out of my 4 final four players are gone in Goosen and Vijay. Today was not so good for moi. But atleast the one side of my bracket is good. The side with Woods and Howell III.

Wow.. most of the big boys are gone. And there goes my hopes for a Mickelson/Woods showdown..

Unless someone steps up big time, I see no one beating Woods. Who else besides Casey has a feather of a chance
at winning this tournament? CHIII? Ogilvy? I know, I know .. stranger things have happened in the world of golf.

This is looking like another TW trophy weekend again. . . .

Re: WGC Accenture Matchplay.

Tiger is definetly the big favorite to take this, but I can see maybe Charles Howell III in the final 4 giving Woods a tough time. Also the way Aaron Baddeley is playing lately he could make somewhat of a run at Tiger in the round of 8. On the other side of the bracket basically Toms, Casey, and Ogilvy are Tigers big challenges in the final if those guys make it that far.

The way that I see it it goes to the top 64 and if someone withdraws before the draw is out than the 65 player is inserted and the others move up. I might be wrong though.

Nick O'Hern beat Tiger in this tournament 2 years ago. Do not be surprised if and when he does it tomorrow again.

Name someone who's beaten Tiger twice in match play. I'm not saying it won't happen...but I wouldn't bet on it.

That's the beauty of match play though...anyone can topple anyone on any given day.

Tiger is looking pretty strong. I put my $ on his win.

Re: WGC Accenture Matchplay.

Only one of the young guns will take out Tiger,
Stenson,Casey ,Baddley or Rose , unless Charlie three sticks continues to grow.

Tiger to beat O'Hern
Stenson over Baddeley
Rose over CH3
Immelman over Poulter
Ogilvy over Fasth
Casey over Micheel
Toms over Campbell
Ames over Cink

Then

Stenson over Tiger - you read it here first
Rose over Immelman
Ames over Toms
Casey over Ogilvy

Rose over Stenson
CAsey over Ames

Two Englishmen in the final.............

Re: WGC Accenture Matchplay.

CH3 really schooled Sergio. It would be fun to see him go up against Tiger, as close as they are and as hot as Chucky's been lately.

4 down after 8, seems like he might get schooled today

Re: WGC Accenture Matchplay.

Well it doesn't look like Chuckie 3 Sticks is gonna make it much farther being 5 down right now. And also Tiger is in some Trouble against O'Hern 2 down, but I think Tiger can make a comeback.

Re: WGC Accenture Matchplay.

This is now really winding me up. The only way I can get updates on what's going on is through pgatour.com, but for some reason their site is being excruciatingly slow to update (still has Tiger through 4 holes). Anyone know what's going on?

Re: WGC Accenture Matchplay.

O'Hern is now up 4 on Tiger. The pressure seems to be on Tiger now to keep his streak going. Nick O' Hern has won holes 4, 5,6,& 7. Tiger seems to be struggling with his putting again today. It is going to be really tough for Tiger to comeback, but if anyone can make a comeback like this Tiger is the man.

Also Charles Howell III is down by 5 the last I saw.
