Man I would, but I can't keep up with the golf season. It's too long and I fade out fast. Now that they are keeping stats on where you finish, I feel it best to try and stick to what I know. Well what I know and football, because according to my results in football, I don't know that.

I'm in, but I stink at this. I tried it last year and didn't do so good (non GRW group). Oh well...another fun contest.

Well, at least Keith got a one week respite from his typical place in the standings...

I'm just lucky I'm not hanging out in the sludge with him...

Killer, BKG saves my bacon. I give him until the Hope and he will be ahead of me.

Nice job Borra with the initial win.

Re: Yahoo! Fantasy Golf 2008

When do I get my special title for winning fantasy golf last season. I remember we were discussing giving the winner a title, as a substitute for the absence of actual prizes, but the discussion was probably on the other golf forum everyone hates now.

There is no hatred in Golf Rewound land, Wildbore. We love everyone... even you. I don't do fantasy golf but I could start a thread asking for suggestions for a special title for you if you'd like.

Just kidding.

I guess I should play the cheap fantasy golf which we play on this forum. Then I could at least get tournament winner.

Re: Yahoo! Fantasy Golf 2008

Not that anyone is interested, but I used my Borrachos name that I use on all my fantasy games for the Fantasy Golf Game. Spanish for my and my friends' usual state - Drunks!
I didn't make any moves after week one, forgetting to change my lineup, but fortunately had some holdovers from week one to two and had enough to scratch out some points...

145 more points and still near the bottom of the standings. Forgetting to change your team a few times will do that to you though.

You know it's interesting - I watched about the same amount of coverage on Friday and Saturday. The Golf Channel really promoted the golf; for a good while, I forgot it was a Pro-Am. Then Saturday on CBS, it changed dramatically and it was a love in of celebrities. I enjoyed both, but it was obvious CBS was pandering to its non golf audience and to it's executives crowd watching all the CEO's playing. Didn't spend as much time as usual on Kevin James and Ray Romano - I guess because their shows no longer play on CBS?

For being CBS's first PGA event of the year, I think they really blew it on the coverage on Saturday. I watched a big chunk of Saturday and every shot was on the celebs. I don't mind a bit of star gazing, but to totally eliminate showing the pro's was a poor choice IMO.

I felt the same way. It was more than a little annoying to sit and watch nothing but celebs swinging the club. I enjoy watching the celebs a little, but they completely overdid the celebrity angle this year, IMO.
